Last week, we had the pleasure of hosting an unforgettable evening at Livingspace Outdoor in celebration of the Interior Design Show (IDS). The event brought together friends, clients, and partners for a night filled with inspiration, conversation, and of course, exceptional food and drinks.

The atmosphere was alive with creativity as we connected with our incredible brand partners: Gloster, Dedon, Danver, Tuuci, Sub-Zero & Wolf, Bromic, Lynx, and Astra Concepts. Their innovative products and dedication to design excellence made the evening truly special, reminding us of the collaborative spirit that drives the design community forward.

Guests were treated to a gourmet dining experience prepared by the talented chefs @chefrez_, @fabrizio_busso, and @danielkim_, who crafted dishes that paired beautifully with the evening’s relaxed yet vibrant setting. Every bite reflected the artistry and passion that we strive to bring into our spaces at Livingspace.

A heartfelt thank you to @yuqiao__chen for capturing the night’s energy and creativity, preserving the spirit of community that defines Livingspace Outdoor.

A Night of Gourmet Dining and Outdoor Cooking Excellence

Exploring the art of outdoor cooking with Kalamazoo.

Last Wednesday, September 24, Livingspace had the pleasure of hosting an exclusive VIP dinner in collaboration with Kalamazoo Outdoor Kitchen. The evening was a celebration of design, cuisine, and community, bringing together friends and partners for a truly unforgettable experience.

Guests were treated to a gourmet menu prepared by Chef @chefalexchen, cooked entirely in the Kalamazoo outdoor kitchen. Each dish highlighted bold flavors and showcased the precision and versatility of outdoor cooking at its finest. The evening was a true testament to the artistry and innovation that define both Livingspace and Kalamazoo Grills.

In addition to the culinary experience, each guest received a copy of Food + Fire: Grillmaster’s Cookbook by Kalamazoo’s chief designer, Russ Faulk (@grillruss), to take home. Guests also enjoyed hearing from President Ryan Bloom (@ryanbloom514), who shared the inspiring story behind the brand and its dedication to quality and innovation in outdoor kitchens.

We want to extend a special thank you to chefs @chefrez_ and @giuseppe_cortinovis for their contributions to the evening, as well as videographer @fullframe_vancouver for capturing the event’s highlights so beautifully.


Exclusive dizignLINKS Evening at Livingspace with Shima Javan

An Evening of Design, Insight, and Connection.

On Thursday, August 21st, 2025, Livingspace hosted an exclusive dizignLINKS networking event, welcoming 50 VIP guests from Vancouver’s real estate and design industries. From interior designers and architects to developers and smart home innovators, the evening was all about creating meaningful connections and sharing visionary insights.

Renowned interior designer Shima Javan, led the dizignLEADS speaker session, inspiring attendees with her talk “INTERIOR DESIGNER’S PATH – CREATE, CONNECT & ELEVATE AS AN INFLUENCER.” Guests left motivated to grow their creative presence and explore new opportunities in the world of design.

Adding to the experience, Livingspace Outdoor served fresh pizzas and sandwiches made from our Gozney and Kalamazoo pizza ovens, perfectly complementing the relaxed, design-forward atmosphere of the showroom.

It was an unforgettable evening of insight, inspiration, and connection, celebrating both innovative design and the power of collaboration.

On March 20th, the Livingspace Outdoor showroom transformed into a vibrant hub of design, culinary delights, and industry networking. The launch party was an incredible success, bringing together a dynamic crowd of designers, industry experts, and outdoor living enthusiasts to celebrate the grand opening of Livingspace Outdoor.

Livingspace Outdoor was born from a vision to expand Livingspace’s 37-year legacy of modern living into the outdoors. Located in Vancouver’s Olympic Village at 122 W 2nd Avenue, this new venture was made possible through the acquisition of Brougham Outdoor and Kerrisdale Lumber Home’s Outdoor Kitchen business. Livingspace Outdoor brings decades of expertise under the Livingspace brand, offering an unparalleled selection of premium outdoor products, including furniture, kitchens, appliances, and heating solutions.

Guests had the opportunity to win exciting giveaways from our esteemed brand partners: Gloster, Fermob, Wolf Gourmet, HanStone Quartz, and Viking cookware from Middleby. The atmosphere was electric, fueled by an exquisite selection of wines from Mission Hill, in collaboration with Build Magazine.

Adding to the experience, Chef Giuseppe Cortinovis of Nightingale delighted guests with freshly made pizza from our state-of-the-art outdoor ovens, accompanied by a variety of delicious and fresh snacks. Meanwhile, DJ City of Ang set the perfect mood with an energizing playlist that kept the celebration lively throughout the night.

Livingspace Outdoor is thrilled to have hosted such an incredible evening, strengthening connections within the industry and showcasing the possibilities of luxurious outdoor living. Holiday Cheer with Cause We Care at Livingspace

Supporting Single Mothers Through Cause We Care.

On November 27, 2024, Livingspace was proud to host the 3rd Annual Holiday Cocktail Party organized by the Cause We Care Foundation. The evening brought together friends, partners, and community members for a night filled with holiday cheer, live music, and a special shopping experience with Blue Ruby Jewellery.

Beyond the festive spirit, the event carried a deeper purpose, supporting single mothers through the Cause We Care Foundation’s programs that strengthen well-being, economic security, and personal growth. Guests had the chance to hear inspiring stories from mothers whose lives have been positively impacted by the Single Mothers Support Fund, highlighting the real difference that community support and generosity can make.

It was a heartwarming celebration of giving, connection, and empowerment, showcasing the power of design, community, and compassion coming together at Livingspace.


La Dolce Design: Chocolate, Prosecco & Arclinea

Last week at the Livingspace showroom, we hosted La Dolce Design, celebrating the finest in kitchen design with our partners at Arclinea.

We invited some of the brightest talents from the Vancouver design community to join us, along with special guest Giovanni Cabrini of Arclinea. Our esteemed guests enjoyed a delightful evening, complete with delicious drinks and desserts from local partners Angus T, Beta5, and Too Good Coffee, making the night truly special.

We had the pleasure of collaborating with Vancouver local chocolatiers, BETA5.

Named One of North America’s Top Ten Chocolatiers, BETA5 have received numerous International Chocolate Awards, and have been recognized nationally and internationally for our work. Melding art,  science, and food, BETA5 puts technical precision and design to create visually stunning products that showcase the flavours of the premium ingredients they use in every treat.

Taste, complexity, and ethics are their highest priorotu, only using directly traded artisanal chocolates; the cacao is grown under ethical and sustainable conditions by skilled farmers, and their crop is directly purchased and roasted by an artisanal French manufacturer, then it makes its way to BETA5. This annual charity event is dedicated to supporting local initiatives in the Vancouver Lower Mainland, including the Burnaby Hospital Foundation.

For nearly two decades, the West Vancouver Art Museum has organized Western Canada’s exclusive design week centred on the unique and distinct architectural style of West Coast Modernism – with deep roots in West Vancouver. Surrounded by forested mountains, an expansive ocean, and a lush rainforest, the natural setting of the Pacific North West presents unique challenges and opportunities that are reflected in the local architecture.

Cause We Care 2024 Mother’s Day Luncheon

Founded in 2007, Cause We Care Foundation is the Vancouver Lower Mainland’s single registered public foundation exclusively assisting single mothers. Strategically investing in the success of single mothers, Cause We Care supports programs and initiatives that empower these families to achieve economic security, build capacity and create a positive future for themselves and their children.

Through fundraisers, Cause We Care has created programs, community grants, support funds, care packages, beneficiaries and more to support women and their children in Vancouver’s Lower Mainland.

Mother’s Day Luncheon

Cause We Care Foundation’s Mother’s Day Luncheon brought together 300 supporters in celebration of mothers and women. Presented by Osler and hosted by Aritzia at their A-OK Commissary, the event featured a cocktail reception, followed by a special 3-course menu.

Supporting sponsors Blue Ruby shared a curated selection of jewellery, as well as products from Midnight Paloma and The Cross, with 100% of proceeds going to Cause We Care.

Funds gathered from sponsor’s like Livingspace, and attendee’s at this year’s event support single mothers through the Single Mother Support Fund (SMSF) and Community Grants, which fund front line organizations delivering diverse programs to meet the needs of single mother-led families in the Lower Mainland.
